Highland Folk Museum

The Highland Folk Museums invite you to enter the World of the Highlander – to see, touch, smell and feel the atmosphere as you are guided through 400 years of Highland life from clansman to crofter. The Newtonmore site offers live demonstrations of traditional skills and crafts, on-site transport, catering facilities, play areas and gift shop.

Grantown Museum and Heritage Trust

Grantown Museum tells the story of the town’s beginnings from 1765 and was awarded ‘Commended’ in the Scottish Museum of the Year Awards. The museum hosts archives and provides research facilities for genealogy and local history. Grantown is the traditional home of the Clan Grant.
